I was having the same problem with my 2011 F-150 lariat limited. Nobody seemed to know what was the cause. ( Hera's what fixed mine diy) elevate the front of your truck remove radiator cap ( when air-conditioned) as well as source cap, ADD antifreeze to radiator until full, start truck let idle until warm, squeeze radiator hose, add fluid. Repeat for about 15 mins. This will remove and aerate from the system. Also I charged my account statement volition a arrest leak Freon. My Alternating current was good, but from what I have gathered it could be something to make with the pressing in the lines or something, did those 2 things and have had no problems with any of the issues, it's been a week now. COST WAS $40

I've looked at a few of these forums trying to solve why my radiator fans happening my 2013 Ford F-150 (3.5 EcoBoost) have been running on high the past few weeks. The short of it: the enlargement valve in the AC system was bad. For the longer storey, I detected that the fans came on high approximately three weeks ago. Also, to save people the trouble of reading all of this if they're having coolant (antifreeze) problems: it ended heavenward having to do nothing with the coolant layer on mine (sol if you make love you're having trouble thereupon, and so this may not represent helpful). Anyway, the temperature was heater than it had been in a patc (low to mid 70's), so I thought it may give birth just been that. What affected Pine Tree State as funny though is that they were track on dominating for my entire 15 minute trip, from the time the truck started cold until I complete the trip, with engine temperatures being completely within pattern ranges the entire time. I'm not an expert mechanic, but I knew that having the AC on will sometimes make the fans run, so I turned the Alternating current off towards the beginning of the trip-up, merely the fans still ran connected intoxicated the entire time. The next few times I drove the truck, I noticed the selfsame thing: radiator fans were running high almost immediately afterwards startup. However, I past detected that if I did not shorten the AC on when I first turned the truck on and never upturned it connected during the trip, the fans would never come on. Still, as soon as I cut the AC on, the fans would run along high the rest of the travel straight-grained if I turned the AC bow out. This would also include if I was running the hot up/deicer but had the AC compressor on (as IT kicks on automatically with the defroster). If I turned the truck remove and turned it back on without jetting the Ac after turning it back connected, most times the fans wouldn't cut back happening (although on warmer days they would occasionally still recoil on). I also detected on a couple heater years that the AC wasn't working very well, so thinking it power be low on Freon, I added some, but both problems (the fans running and the Atomic number 89 not being really cold) remained. After doing some internet research, I sentiment it mightiness have been a bad dominating-pressure sensor, the one settled behind the rider side headlight on the gamy pressure line. I besides noticed that if the fans were running high, I could unplug the sensor, and the fans would shut off within a few seconds. If I plugged IT back in, and so the fans would kick back onto high. My understanding for this was that the motortruck was getting a high pressure reading off of this detector when it was plugged in. In order to reduce the pressure, the truck would extend to the fans on high. When the sensor was unplugged, the truck would shut down the AC system as a safety bar, but since the AC system was shut out down, the truck had nobelium conclude to run the fans anymore, and information technology turned them off. This as wel allowed ME to reject it being a stuck relay honourable causing the fan to run for no more reason. Also, if the system (with the sensor blocked in) detected that the pressure was far too high-stepped to kick the compressor on anymore, then the compressor wouldn't ejaculate on (the fans would still run) and zero cold air would come out (which I noticed on warmer days). Long news report scant, I changed the commanding pressure sensor hoping that was the problem. Nope…still had the exact same demeanor. Knowing that the detector was good (and the stop up likewise as it could order the difference between organism unplugged and when it was getting a high reading), I did some more research. I found a couple of videos that were helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOPn8BQB0pw and https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=xBuAQuWezMY. I also bought an Alternating current manifold bore set in rate to be able to read the high and low pressures. When I hooked it ahead, I saw my high-pressure English going really high (even with the fans on). After lancinating the truck off and rental information technology sit, I saw the two sides not equaling out same quickly. I also talked to a buddy World Health Organization looked ascending a TSB that indicated my problem was likely the enlargement valve in the Atomic number 89 system. So, that was my diagnosis. I ordered a parvenue expansion valve and put under it in, vacuumed out the system, recharged it with the puritanical sum of money of Freon, and it works great. Than low speed radiator fan cuts on every now and so (as IT's supposed to) and drops the pressing falling when it gets a little high, but the blackmail comes far down to where IT's supposed to be (which it wasn't doing before with the fans even connected high). I'm non a mechanic by trade but like to work stuff in my spare time and to save money, and so if anyone has anything to bring or compensate, please feel free. I principally hope that this helps someone else who has the same problem. I'd also imagine that many another vehicles (also just F-150's) would likely have the same problem with their Alternating current system and resultantly the radiator fans squirting on high (atomic number 3 I've seen some forums with the same problems along different vehicles).

2013 f150 ecoboost and am having the Saami issue. Radiator fans run on high anytime the AC is on. They unremarkably kick along within 10-15 seconds of turning the AC on and footrace about 90% of the time I'm driving. The only way to vex the fans to close up is to either 1) turn the AC off completely or 2) turn the truck off. I live in Houston so it is hot year round, but the fans still should not be spurting this high entirely of the time. Took it to the dealership last week and they guess a coolant leak was causation the problems. replaced whatever parts connected the turbo that had rusted out. Fans withal running connected high so coolant didn't look to give any outcome. This seems to cost a common issue with 13 ecoboosts, but I roll in the hay this ISN't "normal" because a co-worker has the exact same motortruck and his radiator fan scarce ever runs on high. Going backwards to the dealership following week before my warranty runs out.

Following abreast my post from last calendar week. Dealership was useless. They said they checked the AC compressor switch and other AC components and said everything looks median. They aforementioned the fans in these model F-150s were designed to kick on lofty speed in stop and go traffic and idling because of complaints on prior year F-150's AC not existence nippy enough. I wear't buy IT. Yes, the fans should run every now and so in baking climates, but locution this is "normal" to me sounds the likes of Ford doesn't want to admit they screwed up the technology on this. Level if it's normal operation, Ford Madox Ford should lease people know what they can do to fix the issue delinquent to the high list of complaints. I'd prefer to hear the railway locomotive and turbos on my hand truck rather than these objectionable fans. I'm going to cause to try and fix information technology myself since the dealership has been so good-for-nothing. Maybe I just take a bad dealership. Funny enough, utmost night I installed a 5 prima 87 octane performance custom tune, JLT oil extractor, and a banks cold melody intake on my truck and it seems the likes of that whitethorn take undercut down on the frequency and length of time that the fans gripe connected. My truck had the pursuing symptoms referable a communicative water pump (more about that below): - Engine overheating at highway speeds - Engine getting hot at neighborhood speeds - Engine fan running at highest possible pep pill from engine start to engine stop (in 55F weather...) - Heater ventilating system running algid - The airing system made a "gurgling" or "extraordinary" sound before overheating As explained to ME over the earpiece, the water pump has a weep hole that begins emitting coolant when the pump bearings are at the terminate of their service sprightliness. This sounds like a pretty terrible way to notify the driver, but what to I lie with, I'm just a professional engineer.

Has anyone institute a resolution beyond the AC Pressure Transducer that Dan replaced? I have a 2013 F150 5 liter. Have recently replaced the pee pump (shaft broke so had to) and the thermostat. Also had the cooling system serviced. They've bled the lines to make positive there is no zephyr in there. After the transducer was replaced, based on reading this stake, an AC shop cleared the error encrypt in the system. Have also tried to open/reset the adaptive retentivity. Seemed same the fan did not kicking on gamey with the roaring jet engine disturbance for about 2 years, but information technology is back now and even occurs when the AC is not along. Only time the engine has gotten hot was when the water pump stone-broke (fan was boot on for a few months before that). It typically runs at normal temps. The mechanical I typically attend has gone through everything and is befuddled. My brother has worked on it and a sure AC shop has worked along information technology. Can't appear to find the reason for the fan kicking on and being so loud.

My 2011 F-150 hot, I took it to a reputable service focus with ACE qualified mechanism, they fixed the overheating problem but the fans sounded like a jet engine unexpended on most of the time. I took IT back a few days later, they troubleshooted and same my computers weren't talking and that I needed to take it to the monger. I did. IT was at the trader for a twenty-four hours and they said that the fans were cooling to temperature, only the noise continued. They couldn't find any problems. I just dealt with the super loud nearly constant jet engine (without matching great power output) for virtually half a dozen months. A few multiplication when at the gasconad pump and topping off the tank I detected that the railway locomotive increasingly didn't want to start. I did my research online, youtube mostly, and found that the canister purge valve was the likely culprit and it was. I got the split in this forenoon, changed it myself and I'm non a mechanic, and the idleness went down immediately and the jet engine hasn't returned all day. Looks like it was that simple. Not saying this is your issue, but certainly worth a check.

Hey guys , i own a 2022 f150 with a 2.7 ecoboost engine and nothing but trouble since Clarence Shepard Day Jr. 1 After 2 months of buying, the heater quit, and we live in middle ONT CA and we were in Feb. This clock time IT was a Sat. afternoon and franchise was drawn. It was subtraction ten celsius and were 1 60 minutes from home. My wife has a few health issues and that same night we were at the emergency section where they gave her any antibiotics to calm her broncitus (self-justification the spelling ) flare finished because of over photo to the rimy. I replied , its no joke when it concerns my wifes health so fix it. He headed out the room access to check it out and returned a couple of minutes later and said I have set up the heater switches manually under the dash so please get into,t touch them in the least until I can book your truck in to find the problem. We had to wait for a week for repairs.(Good-for-naught guys, I know its a long story but I am leading heavenward to the current problem. ) When they were finished this last amend I was informed that other switch attached to the first ane also failed. This is where information technology gets better. Another week goes by and formerly again heater failure. Now my wife is fuming and when we walk through the dealer doors and adequate to the service desk, she throws the keys at the same service guy and he catches them and says , whats wrong now. She says guess what no heat again, I want the heater unmoving right or replaced and I am not waiting for two weeks. This has been B.S. since mean solar day one, no more screwing close to, fix it. Truck went in the next sidereal day and it took a few years to fix because they replaced the whole heater unit. Since then we hold been happening a recall list until recently to kettle of fish a door lock job that would not allow the lock doors including the tailgate to unlock during cold conditions.Conclude given,(Al motortruck does not like the cold and attracked the frost to room access switches.) While repairing door locks they had another call back to repair the recoil organization on seat belts at the floor because if their is a serious chance event the recoils could activate at a high speed causes the ball over carpet to ignite. Now gentlemen ,the ultimate straw to date , my twofold fans and smoke get been practical fine until a few weeks ago. Same problem with the high speed issues but only if we have the fastball along (not the A.C.) Once once more back to dealer . Female Robert William Service attendent and shop tech. were at my truck with hood open and they could not hear each other talk. No codes were present with tech. equipment soh once hand truck was booked in. Truck was brought in the following week initiative thing in morn. THREE techs. worked on it and after 4 hours no results. I inquired if they took it for a campaign to warm IT risen and they said no. They did one more test connected it , which had something to do with the A.C.and said all was fine. I ill-used truck on friday and was respectable. Wfe used it on Sabbatum. and same problem with fans. I put-upon it on Sunday and after well-nig an hour on went the fans at high speed. I do not know if they replaced the expansion valve in A.C. unit but I am fit to be tied. Honourable something for you all to check...not saying it's the answer... Check unstylish combine #27 low the hood. Had another issue (will explain at the bottom) and one solution we found was to check fuse #27. Pulled that and, while it wasn't blown, information technology was toasty along one end. Replaced it and it fixed the issue I was having. This was last night. Withal, the lover hasn't kicked in at all today, which is unusual. Information technology is near 10 degrees colder today than it has been thus far - 43 degrees - but the fan was kick in when IT was 53 degrees last week. I even left it running the total hour I was posing at the soccer field...fan never kicked on. I realize this might not be the fix and I also realize this could follow symptomatic of another problem, but just thought I would share. (Problem experienced last Night) - Got home and turned the truck off. We were dwelling house about 45 minutes ahead we had to a-okay to the next event of the twenty-four hour period. Truck had been run fine that day. Went to start it and IT wouldn't catch. It would turn o'er and just keep turning over but didn't catch. Tried that a few times and battery didn't seem to be losing power or anything. Grabbed the work cable car to get the kid where she needful to be while my brother-in-law looked on here and Ford Forum and found the recommendation of ever-changing come out merge #27. I'll post an update tardive next week sometime, once it's warmed rising into the 50's and 60's, and let you know if the fan kicks in or if in that location are just more problems. Good fortune!

This fan problem just showed up in my 2012 F150. Turns out the radiator fluid level in the reservoir was very low. Some 50/50 antifreeze poured into the reservoir fixed the problem.

2013 Ford F-150 V8 with the equal "turbo fan" problem. Trouble started ONLY AFTER my water heart went out and was replaced. Dispatched it to the dealer and they virtually changed out corrupt entire AC arrangement for around $2,500. NO FIX. I replaced the AC Pressure Switch. NO FIX. I checked and replaced fuse #27. NO Fasten. I'm attractive IT to an independent mechanic incoming week to replace my year senior thermostat with a new one and see if that's the problem. I recently had a problem where the fans were running on high-stepping after replacing the weewe pump and thermostat on a 2013 5.0 F150. Geosynchronous the problem by replacing the Autozone thermoregulator with an OEM one. Problem went away once I installed the OEM thermostat. Try this before any other expensive repairs! The non OEM thermostats must unconcealed at the wrong coolant temperature.

I have a 2014 5.0 just hit 96,000 miles this is the indorsement time my truck has had the same problem probably a year ago my heater stopped working changed thermostat fixed it. And the second sentence (a yr afterwards) I noticed the fans kicked happening a lot loud too wouldn't ever hardly chip I just let IT be being that my truck is adjusted I patterned the tuner had altered the temp for them to cut on the about 2 weeks later o my heater stoped employed unchanged day I as wel noticed my temporary gauge whirl alittle past half for awhile and and so come done then it would do it again and come aft down once more went and got a new thermoregulator denaturised information technology and it fixed it again and also the fans assume't turn on as much so my popular opinion is to beginning check your levels and get word if you need to just bring coolant that may work if not change the thermostat in front pickings it in

I had the exact same trouble. 2013 FX4. 3 crushed cost fixes. #1: check fuse #27. #2 substitute the AC switch (autozone has it for $25). #3 replace the AC elaboration valve. I ordered the start for $35, and had a mechanic install, vacuum and recharge the system of rules and that fixed it for me

Had the same issue 2 eld ago. Replaced the A/C Expansion valve and that fixed IT. it started up again recently, however this time the fan comes on all the sentence whether or not the A/C is on. I'm besides getting rattling bad fuel consumption rate in real time. I'm thinking its the thermoregulator stuck open. My haynes manual says that if you consort the truck without a thermostat it confuses the computer and screws upwards the fire/aerate miscellanea. I ordered one and will constitute dynamic it out this weekend. I'll let you know how it goes.

I just figured unstylish what was causing my 2012 F150 FX2 Ecoboost 3.5L High Lover to run. My write out was that the deep fan was not coming on thusly the high fan was supplementing for it. So, deterrent your Fan Relay (Low Fan) (mine is relay #85) in the fuse box to visualise if it is bad. As shortly as I pulled mine out and compared it to the Rooter Relay (High Fan) (mine is relay #5), I could tell it was credibly the issue as the low lover relay was very fiery compared to the high fan relay feeling cool to the touch. I swapped the low lover (#85) relay with one I wasn't using, until I can get a replacement, and wholly is back to regular. I hope this helps someone.

I fixed the problem of loud engine devotee+ transmittance slip+ graduate irresponsible RPM~850rpm in the summertime when AC is on in my 2000 expedition while temp overestimate is right at the midsection. I saved a coolant leak, so I replaced with a steep duty radiator. I also replace the fan clutch with original motocraft part, $90.00, and a good quality serpentine belt. I drove chisel today with the AC on for 1hr in stop and go. The engine is extremely quiet. The unprofitable RPM is at 650, and the expedition is responsive on shoot a line bike with extra power. I believe the job was the fan clench that I bought for $35 a few years ago. Since I am lazzy, thusly I replaced each three parts concurrently to save metre. It looks like the fuel gauge drops little for the same commute turn on today.

2013 Ford F150 V8, radiator fan began running on loud high nowadays. Gas mileage is 9,700 (yes, lonesome 9,700) Only happens when a/c switch is on, flush if you set temporary worker to instinct sultry and blow palaver instead of cold. I'll supervene upon fuse #27 as suggested and hope for the best.

Recently replaced water pump and themostat in my 2013 f150 5.0. Just started having a mistakable issue with the fan running on piping constantly yet though its only in the 40s here. My lower radiator hose I noticed was not acquiring warm even while idling. Ended up putt the old thermoregulator back in and now it runs fine. For future replacements I would stick with OEM like others have suggested is that seem to fix the problem.

Hey guys, I have 2014 STX 5L with 70k miles happening it. Close to ii weeks agone I started noticing the fan running wide open and around the assonant meter I noticed that my heating plant was only working when the truck was running at speeds. I conscionable spent the senior minute recitation through and through this thread. So far supported what I've translate the fastest things to check were as follows. 1. Coolant level. 2. Fuse#27. When I looked both my coolant level was low and fuse 27 was toasty precisely arsenic represented. I immediately denaturized fuse 27 so far about 30 mins in and there is no high devotee noise. My manual says Fuse#27 is a fuel ticker relay nevertheless this can't constitute right in my opinion. I retrieve the low to no heat effect at idle can easily be explained aside the low pressure coolant level. Your estrus comes from the coolant fluid running through your scheme when the truck is running Omar speeds your system is charged with pressure and you can get the heat exchange, at low speeds/laze you may not sustain enough pressure in the system to pull oestrus. I'm about to fetch fluid and top the system so we wish see what happens thereupon. So far I'm of the opinion that some issues Crataegus oxycantha embody unconnected. I'll update later when I've had more clip to asses the repairs done so far.

Had the water pump and thermostat replaced on my Gerald Ford F-150 EcoBoost. ever since having IT replaced, cooling fans have measured like they are on turbo all time the engine temperature gets to normal. Had my mechanic throw out my new thermostat with another thermoregulator except this time used a OEM part from Ford Madox Ford. Problem solved. Not certain why IT plant but it does.

Same for Pine Tree State...Ain a 2013 Henry Ford F150 and had water pump and thermostat replaced over the holidays. Fan started linear commanding after 10 minutes of driving. Took to some other shop, said IT was "normal" grrrr. Took to Ford dealer, couldn't line up whatever problem. Read this forum and went and bought the Motorcraft thermostat and had mechanical put in, problem solved. (Early thermostat was a Pe-tsai that was supposedly rated same Eastern Samoa the OEM) - Would have had that mechanic swap it out but we were out of town when pump broke. THANKS TO Every last WHO WROTE IN!!! It's a shame, FORD mechanics don't know this and nobody bothers to research it!

2013 F-150 Platinum; I had the issue with my coolant going low. I had a small hosiery or tube somewhere that was wacky and leaking on my power steering rein in. My power steering would randomly exit! That was flat later multiple trips to the dealership. Now, I have the fans staying happening afterward I wear the compressor for the defrost. I'm guessing that it's the A/C pressure swap. Fix Or Repair Daily!

Gas probe is inside gas tank, it is cooled by having flatulence level at to the lowest degree 1/4-1/2 tank full always. Dig into runs very hot. I didn't give birth a problem with high fan until gas tank was almost bare, about 90 miles Oregon less on dash board. Check fuses no trouble, coolant full? , 2022, F150, 21K miles, filled gasoline tank seems to be running thin, no more tatty fan noise.

Unplugged the A/C pressure switch by the bombardment, and it stopped up. Confirmed A/C refrigerant was empty. Charged system after confirming low, and today ok. Need to locate refrigerant leak now merely differently ok.
I have a 2012 F150 with a 5.0 engine. At 150k miles I change the water heart and replaced the thermoregulator. Aft that, I noticed my fans would run really high with the ac connected. I thought about it and the only other transfer was the thermostat I bought unmatchable from the local anaesthetic parts house. I replaced the thermostat with a Motorcraft and every last good.

Thanks to all for your suggestions. It appears my job of the high speed fan engaging and running continuously when the 2013 Ford F-150 5.0 Liter is solved. The solvent was installing a Crossing, Motorcraft thermostat. My pee pump had gone bad so I decided to change the thermostat simultaneously as neither had ever been serviced. I went back with 2 different temperature thermostats I purchased from O'Reilly's. Neither solved the problem, nevertheless the Motorcraft Gerald Rudolph Ford thermostat did.

I have a 2010 F150 4.6 L and my AC clutch will not Betroth. I replaced the downhearted pressure switch and still no AC. If I turn my AC happening fifty-fifty when the engine is cold it leave cause both radiator fans to come up swollen. Highly Loud. The only room to make water them stop track is to disconnect my battery. Once I reconnect my battery The fans will non come on until I reverse my AC back on and so I have the selfsame problem.

My rooter 2013 F-150 would come through on large last and loud after 15 min of driving, and so would not go off. Also noticed the temp gauge was moving barely up and down. Switched out the thermostat (which was after market) to Motorcraft, fixed the problem instantly. Start was $20 and President For Dealership.
2015 3.5 EcoBoost. Fans were engaging 110% at bulge out upfield, no a/c cooling. Still had coolant at very upper pressure when I evacuated the lines. Replaced A/c expansion valve located along passenger broadside firewall. Problem was hunky-dory for about 35k miles. Straight off it's doing IT once more. So I'm about to again put a shitty part that still needs a recall aft in a truck that apart from the dual climate and this jet engine fan problem has been a champion. Oh well.

This is clean my personal get, I make 2022 f150 Eco-boost and a hebdomad ago my rooter started blowing on high, even when the keys away, I've been unplugging the battery cable, and I've been on this site recital some answers and questions, thus I got my owners manual looked up the motor blower fuse, and started pulling a couple forbidden and putting them back in, Then I got to the number 104 fuse, pulled information technology taboo and it stopped, this is big news, I'm not saying I fixed it, but I fixed it for at present and wanted to dea my good tidings, I actually twis the key on and started the vehicle and turned it back down and it still didn't come on like it has been, thank you to the web site thank you to the masses that are posting I really take account information technology, just pull the 104 fuse, and putting it back in is what did IT for me, for now, I desire I didn't take anyone's time up, I hope this was helpful for someone, I know I'm really happy right now, so if it happens again I'll permit you know, and I'll tell you when I did thanks for your time
Here is my news report about my 2013 F150 high speed fan running every last the time. I purchased the hand truck brand new in 2013 with the XLT trim and V8. This has been a great motortruck in use primarily for skiing, hunting, and towing a boat. At about 60k miles the high-velocity devotee started running more needful. As time went on it continued to run and increased in oftenness. Information technology would campaign in all conditions, cold, fiery, towing, idling, with the heater on or off and with the send conditioner on or off. I took the truck to my dealer and the table service check in guy was a prickle. The buff was so loud that I had to turn the hand truck disconnected so we could talk. He then told me that this was normal. Obviously, I argued but He continued his attitude, so I left. I so did a ton of research on many forums including this unity. Based on the recommendations I replaced the fan electrical relay switches, no luck. I took information technology to my sure mechanic who replaced the freon and checkered for leaks. No luck. Helium so flushed the radiator and the winnow continued to run. I love this truck just could not stand the noise any longer. I decided to look into trading IT in for a Dodge Rebel and took information technology back to the same dealer to fetch the recall, unrelated to the fan noise, regressive. At the check in the same prick was not around so I decided to explain the issue one more fourth dimension. This service guy was great. He told me that helium was sure they stool figure it come out of the closet. They unbroken the truck overnight and pressure tested the radiator system and found zero leaks. They called me and told me they matte up the problem was the lack of coolant cause level though the irrigate ticker tested modal. They said that it was likely that extraordinary of the internal parts of the pump was non working corresponding it should. Full revealing I am not very automatically inclined, brakes and plugs are about my demarcation. I decided to roll the dice and have the pump replaced as well as the thermostat. I still cannot believe it, just the high-speed fan is not kicking happening like information technology was!!!! I have involuntary it a couple hundred miles including into the Centennial State high country without any mad fan noise!! I give birth not towed with it yet and will update this when I do! I Leslie Townes Hope this helps!!
